The new AESA radar is a major part of the U.S. Air Force's plan to thoroughly revamp the venerable B-52, and extend its life into at least the 2050s.
The force has named satellites and ground systems after mythological creatures, ghosts and Norse pantheon, to name a few.
The new dress uniforms come after years of development and will be worn Dec. 18 for the guardians’ graduation ceremony.
The extension affects roughly 50 airmen and Space Force guardians who were scheduled to separate this November.
