Air Force selects 256 for promotion to captain

The Air Force on Monday announced it has chosen 256 officers for promotion to captain.

The list of first lieutenants chosen in the quarterly 18A captain promotion cycle includes 139 Line of the Air Force officers, three chaplains, 31 LAF-judge advocates, 35 Nurse Corps members, 36 Medical Service Corps members, and 12 Biomedical Sciences Corps members.

All but two LAF officers considered for promotion to O-3 were selected, for a selection rate of 99.2, according to statistics provided by the Air Force Personnel Center.
