A joint U.S.-Canada aerospace command says two Chinese and two Russian military planes were tracked flying over international waters near Alaska.
NORAD fighter pilots sent to investigate the balloon determined it was “not maneuverable” and did not present a threat to national security.
“It’s really about prioritization, right?” Brig. Gen. Luke Cropsey said. “How far can you get with the dollar you have available?”
A NORTHCOM official said that Lestorti’s removal is “permanent.”
