The Defense Department is offering back pay to service members who were involuntarily separated after refusing the COVID-19 vaccine.
By Riley Ceder and Lolita C. Baldor, The Associated Press A bill introduced in the House this week proposes to end federal taxes on bonuses given to troops for joining or re-enlisting in the military.
The bonuses range from $180,000 to $360,000, according to a leaked Air Force memo.
Seventy-three career fields are eligible for reenlistment bonuses reaching as high as $180,000 in fiscal year 2024.
