An airman assigned to Hill Air Force Base, Utah, and a family member were killed Saturday Dec. 13 in a rollover crash near Bountiful.

The airman, who has not been named, was assigned to the 75th Air Base Wing, the base said in a statement. Two children in the car were taken to a local hospital and are in stable condition.

Emergency crews were called to the scene of the rolled-over Jeep at 9:42 a,m. The two adults died at the scene, according to the Davis County Sheriff's Office. The two children were flown via medical helicopter to the local hospital with critical injuries.

There were multiple witnesses to the crash, who are assisting detectives.

"Our heartfelt condolences go out to the families and friends of this Hill AFB family," said Col. Ron Jolly, 75th Air Base Wing commander, said in a statement. "This is a loss to all of us, and our thoughts are with those grieving during this difficult time."
