The Air Force said Thursday it has chosen 665 first lieutenants for promotion to captain.

The calendar year 2018D captain’s quarterly selection process selected 575 Line of the Air Force officers, two chaplains, 18 LAF-judge advocates, 45 Nurse Corps members, five Medical Service Corps members, and 20 Biomedical Sciences Corps members for promotion. All selectees were in the promotion zone except one Nurse Corps officer, who was chosen below the zone. The selection rate for the 676 eligible officers was 98.4 percent.

Among the Line of the Air Force selectees, all 122 pilots, 46 navigators and 15 air battle managers who were eligible for promotion were selected, according to statistics provided by the Air Force Personnel Center. Also among the LAF, 237 non-rated operations officers were chosen for promotion and 155 mission support officers were selected for O-3.

AFPC said that it told selectees’ senior raters prior to the announcement, so they could tell their airmen the good news themselves and celebrate.

The list of selectees can be found here.
