A technical sergeant at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota, won his appeal and was cleared of all felony charges in a sexual assault case.

TSgt. Aaron Allmon, with the 5th Bomb Wing, was charged with sexual assault, sexual harassment, and making threats. However a judge found Allmon not guilty of the charges in a court-martial that ended Nov. 14.

Allmon was convicted of lying to the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, but on March 21 he won his appeal and that charge was also thrown out.

The Air Force currently does not report the names of airmen who are acquitted of crimes, making it difficult for the public to learn the results of some trials. Air Force Times was only able to learn some airmen were acquitted because they contacted Air Force Times, or by speaking with their attorneys, family members and close friends.

If you have information on an acquitted airmen, and would like us to update our reporting, please contact Phillip Swarts at pswarts@airforcetimes.com or Oriana Pawlyk at opawlyk@airforcetimes.com. Send us the court documentation of the acquittal or other disposition.
