The Air Force has identified an active-duty airman who was found dead on Wednesday in his off-base home in Guam.

Airman Daniel Peregoy was assigned to the 36th Security Forces Squadron at Andersen Air Force Base, according to a news release.

"Each and every person here on base is a valuable member of Team Andersen and this loss affects the entire Andersen community," Brig. Gen. Douglas Cox, 36th Wing commander, said in the release. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and wingmen. We are doing everything we can to support them during this difficult time."

The cause of death is under investigation.

Peregoy's death occurred in the wake of two airmen who died in separate swimming incidents near Andersen Air Force Base. Senior Airman Travis Bennet's remains were recovered off the coast of Guam on Nov. 21, and Master Sgt. Greg Ramos was presumed dead after a six-day search ended with no evidence of death or remains, according to a release.

Bennet was assigned to the 121st Fighter Squadron, 113th Wing, D.C. Air National Guard, and Ramos was with the 154th Logistics Readiness Squadron, 154th Wing, Hawaii Air National Guard.
