A Pentagon-ordered review on the effectiveness of women in combat is now under new management, Military Times has learned.
Religious waivers that have already been approved will be reevaluated within 90 days, the memo states.
The installation has lifted a shelter-in-place order that was enacted earlier Wednesday after officials said a threat had been made against the base.
The announcement came days after Ecuador and the U.S. began joint military operations against organized crime groups in the South American country.
