Col. Robert Morse, the commander of the 693rd Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group at Ramstein Air Base in Germany, has been relieved of command.

Morse was removed by Col. Jason Brown, the 480th ISR Wing commander, on Sept. 18 “after losing trust and confidence in [Morse‘s] ability to command,” said Tech. Sgt. Darnell Cannady, a spokesman for the 480th, in an email Friday.

Morse is now assigned to the 480th at Ramstein, Cannady said, but he would not release any more information, citing policy and the Privacy Act.

The 693rd conducts airborne ISR operations in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, among other missions. The 480th is headquartered at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Virginia.
