Court-martial proceedings for a cadet charged with sexual assault are scheduled to begin Feb. 29, the Air Force Academy announced Wednesday.
Cadet 2nd Class Zachery Chubb is charged with one count of rape with two counts of abusive sexual contact in violation of Article 120 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
A second specification of abusive sexual contact was recently added; Chubb had previously been charged with only one count, a spokeswoman at the Air Force Academy told Air Force Times.
The Academy would not comment further on why the specification was changed.
Chubb, charged March 16, 2015, allegedly penetrated a woman with his finger and touched her buttocks without her consent. He also placed her hand on his penis without the victim's consent, according to his original charge sheet. All three specifications relate to the single incident, which happened around Oct. 18, 2014, the Air Force said.
A trial was originally set for September, but was continued by a military judge to a later date.
