The Center for Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments analyzed short-term readiness-related categories of operational training and maintenance & depots for the Navy,. Two of the charts compare the president’s proposed five-year defense plans with Congressional appropriations, while the third breaks down appropriations within the maintenance and depots category by appropriations title. The analysis was performed by CSBA’s Katherine Blakeley for a forthcoming report on the president’s 2018 DoD operations and maintenance request.
