The Air Force said Thursday that 734 enlisted airmen have been selected for supplemental promotion this month.

The list of selectees, released by the Air Force Personnel Center, includes 486 airmen chosen for staff sergeant, 145 chosen for technical sergeant, and 62 chosen for master sergeant.

Airmen are considered for supplemental promotion if they are unable to test during their normal testing window or if they were deployed and unable to test until after the standard promotion selections were made.

AFPC told the senior raters of selectees, or other officials, that the airmen had been selected 48 hours before the official announcement, so they could give their airmen the good news themselves.
