An Air Force tactical control party airman from Fort Campbell, Kentucky, died over the weekend at Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri.

Master Sergeant Brett Davidson, 37, of Clarksville, Tennessee, was reported missing Friday night, according to ozarksfirst.com. He was last spotted at 8 p.m. on a dock at Lick Branch Cove.

His body was found in the cove’s main channel the next morning and he was pronounced dead at about 11:30 a.m. in Rocky Mount, Missouri.

Davidson was assigned to the 19th Air Support Operations Squadron at Fort Campbell, which is a geographically separated unit of the 93rd Air Ground Operations Wing at Moody Air Force Base, Ga.

"My deepest sympathies are with the family, friends, and loved ones of Brett," said Col. Paul Birch, 93rd AGOW commander, in a press release. "He was a long-time member of the squadron and the TACP community. We are grieving the loss of an integral part of our family."

The cause of death is currently under investigation.
