MINOT, N.D. — A judge says a Minot Air Force Base airman accused of luring a minor by computer must serve up a year in jail.
The Minot Daily News reports that 23-year-old David Schroeder was caught in a law enforcement sting in December and thought he was meeting a 16-year-old girl for sex.
Schroeder told investigators that he came to meet the girl to tell her she should not be meeting people on Craigslist, and as a member of the base’s security forces had planned to do a “reverse bust.”
Judge Stacy Louser ordered Schroeder to complete a sex offender treatment program and register as a sex offender.
