A western New York prosecutor says he’ll reconvene a grand jury to consider more charges against a bar manager following the death of a patron he’s accused of shoving down a flight of stairs.

Erie County District Attorney Frank Sedita says Friday that he'll recall the same grand jury that indicted Molly's Pub manager Jeffrey Basil earlier this year on attempted murder and other charges.

Basil is accused of pushing 28-year-old New York Air National Guard member William Sager inside Molly's Pub in May. Police say the shove sent Sager down a flight of stairs inside the Buffalo bar.

Sager had been hospitalized with severe brain trauma since then and died on Thursday. He was a crew chief with the 107th Airlift Wing based in Niagara Falls.

Basil has pleaded not guilty.
