Contamination with PFAS chemicals has been documented at and around Cannon Air Force Base near Clovis as well as at Holloman Air Force Base near Alamogordo and other locations in New Mexico.
The court testimony came in a lawsuit alleging the Air Force failed to flag a conviction for domestic violence that might have prevented Devin Kelley from legally buying the gun used in the shooting.
The Air Force said it would prefer to extend current operations over Eddy, Otero and Chaves counties for F-16 pilots taking off from Holloman Air Force Base.
