Nevada's political leaders are urging the Air Force to make the Nevada Air National Guard base in Reno the home for a new regional air squadron to respond to emergencies and disasters.
A Wisconsin Air National Guard senior non-commissioned officer said Friday his superiors have decided to discharge him from the service and deny him retirement benefits in retaliation for reporting allegations of long-standing sexual misconduct in his unit.
