An airman from the 87th Security Forces Squadron at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey died Monday, the base said in a post on Facebook.
Senior Airman Joshua Wright, 25, was taken from his off-base home to a local hospital, but was pronounced dead early Monday morning.
“This tragedy is a terrible and saddening loss,” Lt. Col. Patrick Bass, commander of the 87th, said in the base’s Tuesday post. “I extend my deepest condolences to Airman Wright’s family, friends and fellow airmen. We will miss him as part of our Air Force family.”
Bass also said the base will make sure support services are available for Wright’s family and friends.
The post did not state the cause of Wright’s death.
