A Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico, airman is dead after he was taken to a local hospital on Feb. 25.
Base officials said no foul play is suspected at this time, however, the incident is under investigation.
The 28-year-old airman was a member of the 49th Operations Support Squadron; the name is being withheld until next of kin have been notified, a statement from the base said.
"This is a tragic event that reminds us how precious time can be," Col. Ryan Craycraft, 49th Wing vice commander, said in the statement. "I encourage affected members of team Holloman to reach out and support one another through this tragedy."
