Want to see the world? Enlisted attaché applications are due on Nov. 15, according to the Air Force Personnel Center.

Defense attaché specialists work in other countries for anywhere between 12 and 36 months, Staff Sgt. Rey Perez Cruz, noncommissioned officer in charge of joint departmental assignments, said in a news release. Training and start dates range from January to November 2016.

"Attaché personnel represent the Secretary and Chief of Staff of the Air Force to the host nation government officials, and are charged with developing and maintaining harmonious and cooperative relationships between the U.S. Air Force and the host nation air force," Perez Cruz said in the news release. "They must be self-starters who are flexible, persuasive and persistent."

The duties for enlisted attaché support positions include managing logistics and administrative support, supervising foreign national staff and direct support for distinguished guest visits, Perez Cruz said in the news release.

The program is open to active-duty staff sergeants, technical sergeants, master sergeants and senior master sergeants, the news release says. Applicants and all of their immediate family must be U.S. citizens and family members' health, educational and special needs must be medically cleared.
