AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. — The Air Force Academy is graduating one of its smallest classes in recent years.

The (Colorado Springs) Gazette reports that the Class of 2015 was winnowed down from about 1,100 cadets four years ago to the 841 cadets graduating Thursday.

They will be officially commissioned as second lieutenants in the Air Force. About 40 percent of them will go on to pilot training.

The ceremony starts at 11:30 a.m. EST at Falcon Stadium and will end with a performance by the Thunderbirds. The flying team will buzz the stadium just as the cadets toss their hats into the air and will perform for over 30 minutes.
