The Air Force Personnel Center said Friday that 398 officers have been selected for promotion to captain.

The first lieutenants selected in the 2017A quarterly selection process include 284 Line of the Air Force officers, five chaplains, 46 judge advocates general, 30 Nurse Corps officers, 22 Medical Service Corps officers and 11 Biomedical Sciences Corps officers.

Three LAF selectees were above the promotion zone, all others were in the zone.

According to statistics released by AFPC, 99.2 percent of in-the-zone officers were selected for promotion, and three of the seven eligible above-the-zone officers were selected, for a 42.9 percent selection rate.

In the LAF, all 23 eligible navigators, all 21 eligible air battle managers, and all 70 eligible non-rated ops officers were selected.
