AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. — A program that screens potential pilots for the Air Force Academy has flown its 100,000th flight.

The 1st Flying Training Squadron at Pueblo Memorial Airport achieved the milestone on Friday, the academy said.

Initial flight screening provides ground and flight training for cadets entering undergraduate programs for pilots, combat systems officers and operators of remotely piloted aircraft.

Doss Aviation operates the program under a 10-year, $200 million contract with the Air Force, according to the academy.
