President nominates 25 for second star

President Obama has nominated the following 25 Air Force brigadier generals to get their second star:

• Brig. Gen. David W. Allvin, currently vice commander of the 618th Air and Space Operations Center (Tanker Airlift Control Center), Air Mobility Command, based out of Scott Air Force Base, Ill.

• Brig. Gen. Howard B. Baker, commander of the Air Force Global Logistics Support Center, Air Force Materiel Command, Scott Air Force Base.

• Brig. Gen. Thomas W. Bergeson, senior defense official and defense attaché, United Kingdom at the Defense Intelligence Agency, London.

• Brig. Gen. Charles Q. Brown Jr., deputy director, operations, J-3, at U.S. Central Command headquarters at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla.

• Brig. Gen. Darryl W. Burke, commander of the 82nd Training Wing, Air Education and Training Command, based out of Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas.

• Brig. Gen. Richard M. Clark, serving as commandant of cadets, U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo.

• Brig. Gen. Dwyer L. Dennis, director, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and requirements at Air Force Materiel Command headquarters at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

• Brig. Gen. Mark C. Dillon, director, regional affairs at the Deputy Undersecretary of the Air Force, International Affairs office at the Pentagon.

• Brig. Gen. Carlton D. Everhart II, commander of the 618th Air and Space Operations Center (Tanker Airlift Control Center), Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base.

• Brig. Gen. Samuel A. Greaves, director, plans, programs and analyses at Air Force Space Command headquarters at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo.

• Brig. Gen. Morris E. Haase, deputy commander of Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa, U.S. Africa Command at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti.

• Brig. Gen. Garrett Harencak, commander of the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, Air Force Materiel Command at Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M.

• Brig. Gen. Paul T. Johnson, deputy U.S. military representative to NATO’S Military Committee at NATO headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.

• Brig. Gen. Randy A. Kee, deputy director for politico-military affairs (western hemisphere), J-5, Joint Staff at the Pentagon.

• Brig. Gen. Jim H. Keffer, deputy chief of the Central Security Service at the National Security Agency based at Fort Meade, Md.

• Brig. Gen. Michael J. Kingsley, commander of the 23rd Air Force/director, operations, Air Force Special Operations Command, based out of Hurlburt Field, Fla.

• Brig. Gen. Jeffrey G. Lofgren, commander of the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing, Air Combat Command in southwest Asia.

• Brig. Gen. James K. McLaughlin, currently director of space and cyber operations/deputy chief of staff, operations, plans and requirements, at Air Force headquarters, the Pentagon.

• Brig. Gen. Kurt F. Neubauer, vice commander of Seventh Air Force, Air Forces Korea and the chief of staff of Air Component Command, U.S. Combined Forces Command, Osan Air Base, South Korea.

• Brig. Gen. John F. Newell III, deputy director for politico-military affairs (Asia), J-5, Joint Staff, at the Pentagon.

• Brig. Gen. Craig S. Olson, program executive officer for business and enterprise systems/director of the enterprise information systems directorate at Air Force Materiel Command, Maxwell Air Force Base-Gunter Annex, Ala.

• Brig. Gen. John N. T. Shanahan, deputy director for global operations, J-39, Joint Staff at the Pentagon.

• Brig. Gen. Michael S. Stough, deputy director of strategic plans, requirements and programs at Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base.

• Brig. Gen. Scott D. West, deputy director, operations, plans, programs and requirements at Pacific Air Forces headquarters, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.

• Brig. Gen. Kenneth S. Wilsbach, director for operations at U.S. Pacific Command headquarters, Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii.
