AF Academy cadet safe after glider crash

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — An Air Force Academy cadet is safe after the glider he was flying crash landed in a field in Colorado Springs.

Academy spokesman First Lt. Meredith Kirchoff said Monday the glider lost lift and came down four miles east of the airfield.

According to the Colorado Springs Gazette, the cadet was alone in the glider at the time of the emergency landing.
