5 AF brigadier generals nominated for 2nd star

Five Air Force officers have been nominated to receive their second star and the rank of major general, the Defense Department announced Thursday.

The brigadier generals who have been nominated to the rank of major general are:

• Brig. Gen. Thomas P. Harwood III, mobilization assistant to the commander, 13th Air Force, Pacific Air Forces, Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii.

• Brig. Gen. Robert K. Millmann Jr., mobilization assistant to the commander, 18th Air Force, Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Ill.

• Brig. Gen. William F. Schauffert, mobilization assistant to the commander, 3rd Air Force, U S. Air Forces in Europe, Ramstein Air Base, Germany.

• Brig. Gen. Michael N. Wilson, mobilization assistant to the deputy chief of staff for operations, plans, and requirements, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D. C.

• Brig. Gen. John T. Winters Jr., mobilization assistant to the commander, 7th Air Force, Pacific Air Forces, Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea.

On Wednesday, 41 colonels were nominated for their first star. Ten more colonels were nominated for their first star on Thursday.
