More than 5,000 to move up to master sgt.

The Air Force has released the list of 5,424 technical sergeants who will be promoted to master sergeant, marking a 24.85 percent selection rate.

This release is the first time in 12 years that the master sergeant and technical sergeant promotion lists have not been released at the same time. The technical sergeant promotion list is scheduled for release June 18.
