AF names winners of comm-info awards

The Air Force announced Monday the three winners of the 2009 Air Force Gen. John P. Jumper Awards for Excellence in Warfighting Integration, as well as 29 winners of the 2009 Air Force Communications and Information Awards.
Lt. Gen. William Lord, chief of Air Force Warfighting Integration and Chief Information Officer, said there were 399 nominees for the awards. Winners will be recognized at a ceremony May 13 at Joint Base Andrews, Md.
The winners of the General Jumper Awards for Excellence in Warfighting Integration are:
* Outstanding Warfighting Integration Officer of the Year: Maj. David C. Quinene, 315th Training Squadron, Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas.
* Outstanding Warfighting Integration NCO of the Year Staff: Sgt. Michael B. Kenworthy, 726th Air Control Squadron, Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho.
* Outstanding Warfighting Integration Civilian of the Year: Patricia E. Katzer, Air Force Network Integration Center, Scott Air Force Base, Ill.
The winners of the Air Force Communications and Information Awards are:
* Maj. Daniel T. Schmitt, National Space and Intelligence Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, Communications and Information (AFSC 33XX) Outstanding Field Grade Officer.
* Capt. Amy T. Stahler, 86th Communications Squadron, Ramstein Air Base, Germany, Communications and Information (AFSC 33XX) Outstanding Company Grade Officer.
* Donald L. Wright, Air Education and Training Command, Randolph Air Force Base, Texas, Communications and Information Outstanding Civilian Manager.
* William A. Mitchell, 354th Communications Squadron, Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, Communications and Information Outstanding Civilian Specialist.
