Gift of spuds shows Hill it is no small fry

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah — Hill Air Force Base got an unusual gift in the name of military appreciation: 50,000 pounds of potatoes.
Idaho-based Sun Valley Charity Foundation in Idaho made the donation on Friday to thank members of the military for their service.
The potatoes will be made available to anyone with access to the Air Force base. Those that aren't claimed will be donated to local food banks and shelters.
The group made a similar donation to base personnel about seven years ago.
