Former Minot airman sentenced for child porn

BISMARCK, N.D. — A former airman at the Minot Air Force Base has been sentenced in federal court on a child pornography charge.
U.S. District Judge Daniel Hovland says 26-year-old Brian Thoman must serve more than four years in prison. Thoman had pleaded guilty to possession of material involving the sexual exploitation of minors.
Thoman faced a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison. Authorities say he was discharged from the Air Force in September.
