New Web site promotes AF family programs
Posted : Tuesday Nov 17, 2009 14:47:16 EST
The Air Force Services Agency has launched a new Web site to help airmen stay “connected, informed and engaged” as part of the Year of the Air Force Family.
MyAirForceLife.com has been established to highlight programs as part of the specially designated year, although the site currently advises visitors to “check back soon” for more information about the Year of the Air Force Family.
Airmen, family members and friends can enter competitions for prizes such as iPod Nanos, iTunes gift cards, and movie passes. The Air Force is also promoting a Year of the Air Force Family T-shirt design competition on the site, in which winners in the youth and adult categories will receive an Apple MacBook laptop.
“The theme of our campaign is ‘The Air Force is a great place to live, work and play.’ Our focus is to make it even better for our Air Force family. The Web site highlights the core ‘Year of the Air Force Family’ programs and activities,” Col. Sandra Adams, commander of Air Force Services Agency, said in a statement.
