Air Force adds personnel to Colo. installations

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Air Force plans to add 165 airmen and 130 civilian workers over the next year in the Pikes Peak region as it adjusts its staffing worldwide.
Peterson Air Force Base would add 139 airmen and 58 civilians as Air Force Space Command expands its work.
The Air Force Academy says it will add 29 airmen and 57 civilian workers, including 32 civilians in the athletic department.
Schriever Air Force Base would add an airman and 13 civilians, and two civilians will help in Air Force operations at Fort Carson.
