New CO takes helm at McChord

Col. Kevin J. Kilb is the new commander of the 62nd Airlift Wing at McChord Air Force Base in Washington. The wing is a West Coast hub for C-17 operations.
Kilb assumed command Friday, taking over from Col. Jeffrey Stephenson, who leaves for a position on the staff of the National War College in Washington, D.C.
Past command assignments for Kilb include the 374th Operations Group at Yokota Air Base, Japan, the 407th Air Expeditionary Group at Ali Air Base, Iraq, and the 6th Air Refueling Squadron at Travis Air Force Base, Calif.
