5 general officer assignments announced

Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Norton Schwartz announced the following general assignments Tuesday:

* Maj. Gen. Douglas L. Raaberg, who is serving as deputy combined forces air component commander, U.S. Central Command; deputy commander, Air Force Forces; and vice commander, 9th Air Expeditionary Task Force, Air Combat Command, Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, was nominated as special assistant to the commander, Air Combat Command, Langley Air Force Base, Va.

* Maj. Gen. Stephen L. Hoog, who is serving as commander, U.S. Air Force Warfare Center, Air Combat Command, Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., was assigned to deputy combined forces air component commander, U.S. Central Command; deputy commander, Air Force Forces; and vice commander, 9th Air Expeditionary Task Force, Air Combat Command, Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar.

* Brig. Gen. Stanley T. Kresge, who is serving as director, air, space and information operations, Headquarters Air Force Space Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., was assigned to commander, U.S. Air Force Warfare Center, Air Combat Command, Nellis Air Force Base, Nev.

* Brig. Gen. Tod D. Wolters, deputy commander, political-military affairs, Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan, U.S. Central Command, Kabul, Afghanistan, to director, air, space and information operations, Headquarters Air Force Space Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo.

* Brigadier Gen. Carlton D. Everhart II, who is serving as deputy director, intelligence and air, space, and information operations for flying training, Headquarters Air Education and Training Command, Randolph Air Force Base, Texas, was assigned to deputy commander, political-military affairs, Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan, U.S. Central Command, Kabul, Afghanistan.
