A former airman pleaded guilty to shooting a man in an altercation in July at a Salt Lake City nightclub while he was facing charges from a separate shooting in New Jersey.
Former Airman 1st Class Daniel Eugene Clemons, 20, pleaded guilty Nov. 5 to one count of felony firearm discharge causing serious bodily injury and third-degree felony possession of a firearm by a restricted person, according to a spokesperson from the Utah Third District Court.
Clemons was free on $150,000 bond from the New Jersey shooting and stationed at Hill Air Force Base when he shot a man after getting into an argument.
He was discharged in August, according to a report in the Salt Lake Tribune.
He faces up to life in prison when he is sentenced Dec. 22.
Two other airmen accused of helping Clemons escape are still awaiting trial.
