Chief master sgt. list announced

The Air Force Personnel Center has announced selections for promotion to chief master sergeant.
Air Force officials selected 520 of 2,415 eligible senior master sergeants for promotion to E-9, for a selection rate of 21.53 percent, according to an AFPC press release.
The list
That is both the largest cadre of chief-selects and the highest selection rate since 2005, before the personnel drawdown began.
The average score for those selected was 661.90, with an average time-in-grade of 3.47 years, an average time-in-service of 23.06 years, and 24.34 for decorations. The average score was based on the following point averages: 135.00 for enlisted performance reports, 68.09 for the Air Force supervisory exam and 383.60 for board score.
The list of new chief master sergeants will be available 8 a.m. Wednesday on AFPC’s public Web site and on the “Ask” site.
At 9 a.m. Central time, AFPC will post more detailed selection data broken down by Air Force Specialty Code.
Those selected for promotion will be sew on their new ranks according to their promotion sequence number beginning in January 2009.
