SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — The ex-San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputy videotaped shooting an unarmed Iraq war veteran after a road chase has filed for bankruptcy protection.
Ivory Webb Jr. was acquitted of all criminal charges in the case last year but he’s still facing a Los Angeles federal court civil suit filed by Air Force Senior Airman Elio Carrion.
The suit alleges Webb tried to kill Carrion, a passenger in a car stopped on Jan. 29, 2006.
Webb and his wife, Angelia, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection, claiming $1 million in liabilities and $680,000 in assets.
