AFIT adds long-distance graduate degree
Posted : Thursday Jul 3, 2008 5:54:44 EDT
Airmen interested in earning a master’s degrees from the Air Force Institute of Technology can receive the degree through long-distance learning.
AFIT began offering its first distance learning degree program just over a year ago. This month, AFIT conferred master’s degrees in systems engineering to four students who completed all their AFIT courses while stationed at Sandia National Labs in New Mexico. AFIT is located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.
The institute’s long-distance offerings now include four graduate certificate programs — systems engineering, supply chain management, space systems and advanced geospatial intelligence — plus the degree program in systems engineering. A logistics system program is set to start in the fall.
Applications for fall enrollment are being accepted. Students interested in more information about the programs, admittance criteria and application instructions, can contact AFIT’s Extension Services office at (937) 255-3636 ext. 7422, or visit their Web site at http://www.afit.edu/en/dl/.
