Police: Body found in Fla. may be missing pilot

PENSACOLA, Fla. — Police here say they now believe that a body found in a bay Monday is that of an Air Force pilot who’s been missing since Saturday.
Second Lt. John H. Alley, 26, of Colorado Springs, Colo., was last seen in a green flightsuit leaving flight school at Whiting Field, Fla., on Friday. Police and search teams began looking for Alley on Saturday after being notified that Alley’s car had been found crashed along a nearby highway.
His cell phone, keys and wallet were still inside, and the doors were locked.
Assistant Police Chief Chip Simmons said Alley is a newlywed and father-to-be who’s been living in nearby Milton, Fla.
Alley is a 2006 graduate of the Air Force Academy.
