Active, Guard, Reserve meet recruiting goals

The Air Force and its reserve components all enjoyed a successful month of recruiting in April, according to data released by the Defense Department on Monday.
The active-duty force met its exact accessions goal, bringing in 2,435 new airmen. All other active-duty services met or exceeded their goals as well.
The regular Air Force did not, however, meet its retention goal for April, according to the press release. Air Force public affairs officials were unable to provide specific numbers on April retention efforts by Tuesday.
The Air Force Reserve literally one-upped itself, signing up 681 recruits against a goal of 680. The Air National Guard had an especially healthy April, with 875 new recruits coming in against a goal of 672.
All other reserve components also met or exceeded their accessions and retention goals for April.
