Selection date for O-6 nurses pushed up

The 2008 board date to select colonels from the ranks of Air Force nurses has been changed.
The nurse corps selection board is now set for Sept. 8, Air Force Personnel Center announced. The selection board had been scheduled for Nov. 17.
The 2008 board dates for other medical officers are unchanged.
Center spokesman Kenny Pruitt said the date was changed for administrative reasons and that the selection criteria remain the same.
While the Air Force won’t say how many nurses will make colonel, a selection board chose 16 nurses for promotion to colonel in 2007.
