Major generals, brigadier-select get new jobs

New job assignments have arrived for two major generals and a brigadier-select, and the head of Pacific Air Forces’ intelligence operations has been nominated for his first star.
Maj. Gen. Michael C. Gould, commander of Air Education and Training Command’s 2nd Air Force, headquartered at Keesler Air Force Base, Miss., has been tapped to become director of operations and plans for Transportation Command, Scott Air Force Base, Ill.
Maj. Gen. Alfred K. Flowers, commander of Air University’s officer accession and training schools at Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala., is set to serve as Gould’s replacement at 2nd Air Force. The Keesler-based unit manages the service’s technical training courses and ground training for many airmen heading to Iraq and Afghanistan.
Col. [Brigadier-select] Darryl W. Burke is moving to Air Combat Command’s 12th Air Force, headquartered at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., where he will be vice commander. Burke currently serves as senior military assistant to Air Force Secretary Michael W. Wynne at the Pentagon.
Also, Col. Martin Neubauer, director of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance for Pacific Air Forces, headquartered Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii, is nominated to become a brigadier general.
