Summer muster schedule announced

Staff report
Posted : Wednesday Apr 16, 2008 12:45:07 EDT

Longer lines at the BX and chow hall? Must be muster time.

This spring and summer, the Air Reserve Personnel Center will be managing 25 Individual Ready Reserve musters at sites across the country. The exercises are designed to test the Air Force’s ability to call up IRRs, and also serve as opportunities to medically screen the reservists, update their records and inform them of their benefits.

About 7,000 airmen will be called up over the course of the musters. The practices are not actual activations — no IRRs have been activated since Operation Desert Storm in 1991.

All affected IRRs will be notified of their respective muster date and site 90 days before to the event. The schedule of musters:

* April 12 –— Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. (Active duty)
