Extra enlisted promotion selections unveiled

The latest promotion list of airmen who had to delay their testing because of deployments or other reasons came out Feb. 7.

The February “in-system supplemental” list reveals that 159 airmen can sew on additional stripes this year. They include 139 staff sergeant-selects, 11 technical sergeant-selects, two master sergeant-selects and seven future chief master sergeants. No senior master sergeant-selects were named.

The airmen selected met the same promotion cut-off scores as their counterparts who tested at the regular dates. And like the in-cycle process, airmen competed for promotion with others in the same Air Force specialty code.

If the airmen have a promotion line number that qualifies them to be retroactively promoted, they will get pay increases and other benefits pegged to the retroactive promotion date.

The other airmen will be promoted based on where their line numbers would have placed them in their rank’s normal promotion cycle.

These airmen were chosen to sew on new stripes in the February enlisted in-system supplemental board, according to the Air Force Personnel Center at Randolph Air Force Base, Texas:
