Raptor coming to Elmendorf on Wednesday

The first F-22 Raptor arrives Wednesday at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, the first of 40 Raptors to eventually be assigned to the base.

A Reserve Command spokeswoman said Gen. Paul V. Hester, commander, Pacific Air Forces, and Lt. Gen. John Bradley, commander, Air Force Reserve Command, will be there to receive the plane.

The Raptor unit will be an associate wing, comprising airmen from both the active duty and Reserve commands.
