First Elmendorf F-22 ready at Lockheed

The first F-22 Raptor that will be hangared at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, saw first light today when it was rolled out of the Lockheed Martin plant at Marietta, Ga.
The plane will be assigned to the 90th Fighter Squadron, an active-duty unit that will fly the aircraft along with an associate Reserve unit, according to Air Force Reserve spokeswoman Lt. Col. Clancy Preston.
The Air Force said the Reserve 302nd Fighter Squadron, formerly of Luke Air Force Base, Ariz., will assume the associate.
