8 shows join ABC this fall

NEW YORK — ABC will sprinkle eight new series on its fall schedule unveiled Tuesday, including five dramas and three comedies. But the network plans a time change for only one returning series.Wednesday’s lineup will be all new, anchored at 9 ET/PT by “Private Practice,” the “Grey’s Anatomy” spinoff starring Kate Walsh.

When “Dancing” and “The Bachelor” wrap their fall cycles, “Wife Swap,” comedy “Notes From the Underbelly” and drama “October Road” will join Monday’s lineup, and “Cashmere Mafia,” a drama about four ambitious girlfriends, is set to replace “Dancing’s” Tuesday results show.

Also due later: “Lost,” in an earlier time slot, reality series “Supernanny” and “Oprah’s Big Give,” drama “Eli Stone” and comedy “Miss Guided.”
