HEALTH CARE

The problem at my base is that so many of the med folks are deployed, there is a shortage of on-base providers. Thus the need to send people downtown. Plus, we don’t have many (if any?) specialists, so if there is a problem that Motrin can’t solve, folks have to go downtown. It certainly isn’t the fault of the med folks that they are in this situation. They are doing the best they can with the resources they have.

CSAR

CSAR is a role the Air Force must seek out and embrace big time and exploit as a new best chance yet opportunity to reinvent and expand how we plug into new low-intensity conflicts and [military operations other than war]. … CSAR is a skills set that can be used in peacetime by integrating into civilian rescue operations in the U.S. or in global humanitarian operations. It’s a role that has both hawk and dove potential support.

CSAR doesn’t need renaming for the sake of political correctness. We need more units and a new helo; that’s the only “new” thing we need.

I think early promotions should be reserved for the exceptions. Those that show potential beyond their years.
