Training

The Veterans Employment Training Service, an agency of the Labor Department, works with the VA, the Defense Department, nonprofit organizations, and state and local governments to help separated and retired service members receive training and find civilian jobs after their military careers are over.

VETS also helps enforce veterans’ preference regulations, which give former service members advantages when seeking government jobs.
